Job Description

Salary: $180,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Cloud Engineering, Network Engineering, or Identity & Access Management with a shift toward automation

  • Practical experience in building automation using scripting or automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

  • Comprehensive understanding of CMDB concepts, including configuration items, relationships, and service mapping

  • Proficiency in integrating automation with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)

  • Strong systems-thinking approach with the ability to navigate across technical domains

Responsibilities:

  • Design, construct, and sustain automation workflows that link cloud platforms, network systems, identity providers, and IT service management tools

  • Develop automation to facilitate provisioning, deprovisioning, configuration changes, incident response, and operational processes

  • Create reusable automation frameworks and patterns to extend automation across teams

  • Utilize CMDB data to guide automation, ensuring that configuration items and relationships are precise and actionable

  • Collaborate with service management teams to enhance CMDB data quality, discovery, and governance

  • Develop automations that update, validate, and reconcile CMDB records across systems

  • Automate processes related to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and identity platforms (Okta, Azure AD, AD, CyberArk, etc.)

  • Partner with cloud, network, and IAM teams to standardize and automate common operational functions

  • Support identity-driven automation scenarios like access provisioning, role-based access, and lifecycle events

  • Minimize manual effort and operational risks through automation and self-service capabilities

  • Enhance reliability, observability, and response times via automated remediation and event-driven workflows

  • Back incident, change, and configuration management processes with automation-centric solutions

  • Act as a technical mentor and automation expert for engineering and operations teams

  • Work closely with architecture, security, and platform teams to ensure automation aligns with enterprise standards

  • Contribute to automation strategy, roadmap, and best practices
